3 Blind Mice (2003)

IMDB rating: 4.20

Plot: Thomas (Edward Furlong) is a young computer specialist who spends most of his (spare ?) time on the net. He logs regularly on Cathy’s site and apparently runs a very strong – but platonic! – relationship with her: they only see each other through webcams. One day, while Thomas is connected, Cathy is murdered under his eyes. But when he calls the police to try to “do something” he realizes that he doesn’t even now her “real” name or adress…. Apparently the only witness, Thomas will soon find himself involved in the investigation held by Claire (Emilia Fox) a young police officer also web specialist. Together they will discover in the real world as well as in the virtual one, very weird things….

Anime Questionnaire!?
Because I’m bored. So…I have no dubiously witty comments to say, so just fill out the form, sign your name here, here, and here, and your insurance form will be complete. As far as you know.

And, begin!

#1. When you read/watch an anime or manga by a particular author or company, do you feel obligated to read whatever else that author/company produces?
>>Ah, yes, fan loyalty. I am a victim of it. After watching and loving the anime FLCL and Gunbuster 2 (Diebuster), I feel obligated to watch whatever GAINAX produces. I haven’t been disappointed by any of the series, so that just strengthens my loyalty. Which is why I’m watching Hanamaru Kindergarten this season. As for manga, I’m an absolute sucker for books that say "from the author/artist of [series x]!" I’ve bought so many blind buys that way…

#2. Plan on watching anything this season? Thoughts on any series you have watched?
>>I’ve watched the first episodes of Hidden God and Sora no Woto. I love them both (and not just because I’m a sucker for slice-of-life and anything by Peach-Pit). I plan to watch Dhurarara!! at some point (probably this Friday) and Katanagatari when it’s released.

#3. Adult Swim has recently made an announcement that they’ve accquired three new anime licenses and they plan to broadcast them on their network. What do you think they are, why, and how well do you think they’ll do?
>>From reading the feedback on ANN on this announcement, and from my own personal intuition, I think it’s Soul Eater, the final season of InuYasha, and FMA: Brotherhood. First, I pick Soul Eater because…well, I really just want it to be on TV. As for how well I think it’ll do, probably well for the first few airings and then, either by time slots or something else, will gain less and less viewers until it’s taken off the air. I think InuYasha is a good pick because they’ve shown all the beginning of InuYasha and it seemed to do well, so I don’t see why the last season would be any problem, at least with ratings. FMA: Brotherhood is basically the same reasoning, its predecessor did well so I think this one will too. Of course, I don’t know how well viewers will take to a basic repeat of the original FMA.

#4. FUNImation has finished their roll-out riot (a week where they announced a bunch of new licenses consecutively. This seems to be all about licensing, doesn’t it?). What titles do you wish they had announced?
>>I wish they’d licensed ToraDora, K-On, and Sayonara Zetsubou-Sensei. How these immemsely popular shows escaped licensing is beyond me (or there might be other factors preventing them from licensing it, but still…)

#5. Take your favorite anime/manga character and make the president for a day. What would be the first policy they enacted?
>>Keyblades will be the standard weapon for any citizen. Also, all Mickey Mouse merchandise will be required to show him wearing a trenchcoat.

#6. What manga do you wish someone would make an anime of?
>>+Anima and Otomen. Both are perfectly suited to make great anime, in character designs and plot.

#7. Last question, I promise. What do you deem the most surprising anime/manga moment?
>>When we first see Rena’s demonic side in the first arc of When They Cry. Going into the book with no real knowledge of what it was about, seeing Rena contort her face into a demon’s really shocked me. And everyone else I gave the book too.

BQ: Haha, I lied, that wasn’t the last question. Don’t look at me like that, my fingers were crossed. Anyway, todays BQ is….A Guess-Who special!

Who is the bloke in this picture?
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/1781/wh aticon.jpg

Hint one: He’s a nekogami.
Hint two: The author of this series has done another manga about a supernatural bureau.

Have fun, peeps and peepettes. To the finite world, I leap!

I’m gonna humor you cause I’m bored too.

#1. When you read/watch an anime or manga by a particular author or company, do you feel obligated to read whatever else that author/company produces?
I’m not really when it comes to companies, but a definitely am with authors. I know what you mean about buying a manga just cause it has that little "from the creator of" sticker. I mean, I own everything Yuu Watase has ever written even though I think everything after Ayashi no Ceres was mediocre at best. I can’t help it though, and usually authors I’m familiar with don’t let me down.

#2. Plan on watching anything this season? Thoughts on any series you have watched?
I honestly no longer keep up with what’s new in American and Japan. I should get a new subscription to an anime magazine so I’ll be able to keep up. I do plan on watching anime, but frequently it’s series that have been around for a while and I just haven’t gotten around to seeing yet. Right now I have Le Chevalier d’Eon downloaded onto my computer and I plan to watch it right after I get around to watching the first season of Tsubasa Chronicles that a friend demanded I borrow.

#3. Adult Swim has recently made an announcement that they’ve accquired three new anime licenses and they plan to broadcast them on their network. What do you think they are, why, and how well do you think they’ll do?
Honestly, I have no idea what’s new in Japan right now aside from InuYasha: The Final Act, since Rumiko Takahashi happens to be one of the mangaka I slave to. I’ll be impressed if they get it on air in America that fast after it’s release in Japan, but then again I know Viz is really kicking up their efforts to release things in the states as soon as possible after their Japanese debut. I think InuYasha will do well, since as you said the former 7 seasons did very well on Adult Swim.

I’m skipping #4 cause I have no idea.

#5. Take your favorite anime/manga character and make the president for a day. What would be the first policy they enacted?
God, there are so many. I can’t choose just one, so it wouldn’t be a president, it would be an entire parliament of conflicting characters! xD They’re all headstrong guys, so they’d be trying to nuke foreign countries and going at each other’s throats the entire time.

#6. What manga do you wish someone would make an anime of?
Well, one anime I can’t wait to see is Kyoukai no Rinne. I know there will definitely be one before too long, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

#7. Last question, I promise. What do you deem the most surprising anime/manga moment?
The first thing that comes to mind for me is when I was reading Fushigi Yugi several years ago. I was new to manga, and not used to the cross-dressing phenomenon. So when volume 3 comes around and it reveals that Noriko is actually a man… I was basically like "Wtf? O.o" Haha, of course now it’s nothing new to find out a character isn’t the gender you always assumed they were, but at the time it was a real surprise.

Aaaaaaand…….. I have no clue who that kid is. Best wishes! =)

1- Nope, to be honest I prefer playing with my toys.

2- No, I’m too busy trying to find out who Kira is and put an end to this killing

3- I don’t have that channel here

4- I didn’t know of this. I was busy trying to figure out this "Death note’ I recently obtained.

5- Me. I would force all Death Note owners to personally hand them over to me. So I can find Kira.

6- I don’t really care much, what happens happens, but I have a Kira to find.

7- When L died. I never really liked him that much, but the fact he let Kira get to him was surprising.

BQ- That’s from Bokke-san, his name is Hinomiya.
N | Jan 12, 2010

1. A while ago I really got into Ranma 1/2, and because I liked it so much I decided to check out the authors other work. I didn’t feel obligated, I never do, it was just something I thought was worth looking at.

2. I don’t watch anime on television, I watch whatever I feel like at the time on the computer. It’s just so much easier and I don’t have to wait for "next weeks episode". So, with that being said, I don’t have any plans, just whatever I think is interesting, I’ll watch. Hmm … maybe I’ll start watching Monster …

3/4 I don’t have/watch Adult Swim or FUNImation, so it really doesn’t matter to me.

5. Light Yagami, because it would be fun to watch him go mad with even more power.

6. Hana-kimi. Love it to bits :3, but unfortunately, there is only a drama. No anime … *sad face*

7. Nothing was too shocking … When I was watched/read Death Note *may contain Death Note spoilers* I already knew about Mello and Near, so I knew in the back of my mind that L was going to die. And I sort of knew how it was going to end, because when you think about it, killing Light was the only way to properly end Death Note. I was a little shocked to hear that Misa committed suicide a year after Light died, but I mostly just felt horrible and sad for her. She must have been heart broken. All she ever did was love Light … blah, blah, blah [insert long, rambley, fan obsessed paragraph here]

BQ: No idea.

1. When you read/watch an anime or manga by a particular author or company, do you feel obligated to read whatever else that author/company produces?
>> Nah, only if it’s good.

#2. Plan on watching anything this season? Thoughts on any series you have watched?
>> Season like weather and stuff? Or like anime season? Well right now I’m reading Naruto, but this anime season I’ve watched tegami bachi, Fairy Tail and Nyan Koi!.

#3. Adult Swim has recently made an announcement that they’ve accquired three new anime licenses and they plan to broadcast them on their network. What do you think they are, why, and how well do you think they’ll do?
>> I don’t know much about Adult Swim but maybe Soul Eater (the anime gained shitloads of fame on the internet), D. Gray-man (or did they already start that up?) and One Piece (hopefully, it needs more attention).
#4. FUNImation has finished their roll-out riot (a week where they announced a bunch of new licenses consecutively. This seems to be all about licensing, doesn’t it?). What titles do you wish they had announced?
>> I know even less about FUNimation lol
#5. Take your favorite anime/manga character and make the president for a day. What would be the first policy they enacted?
>> Luffy from One Piece?

"GIVE ME MEAT AND BE MY NAKAMA"

#6. What manga do you wish someone would make an anime of?
>> I don’t read much manga that hasn’t already been animated lol.

#7. Last question, I promise. What do you deem the most surprising anime/manga moment?
>> There’s too many too name… But most recently Itachi actually being an admirable and honorable man.

BONUS QUESTION!?!??! DAMN YOU!!!

But I really don’t know who that is.

Later lol

Vera Phillips and Dylan were teenage loves; fast forward ten years and the two reconnect in London. She’s working as a singer whilst he’s churning out scripts for government propaganda films and living off the last in a long line of infatuated women. The two former lovers feel the thunderbolt once more, but Thomas is now married to the adventurous Caitlin. Despite their love-rival status, the women form a surprising friendship. Caitlin indulges in her own infidelities, and recognises a similar adventurous spirit in her husband. But she knows his connection with Vera is something different, not to mention dangerous. Romantic turmoil continues in Vera’s life. She marries her devoted admirer William Killick, but she can’t deny the chemistry between herself and Dylan, nor does she want to – even if this means betraying Caitlin. When William is posted abroad, and a pregnant Vera returns to Wales with her married friends, the battle between her heart and head becomes more intense. William returns a changed man, but neither is Vera the carefree cabaret girl he married. Neighbourhood gossip fuels her husband’s jealousy towards his rival. Enraged, William stages a violent attack on Dylan – an attack that forces Vera to choose between the men in her life and the friend that she loves. Desire and guilt are complicated by love and friendship in this real-life tale set in beautiful London and the majestic Welsh countryside.

This aimed at fans of the movie 'Ladyhawke' .?
The breed of horses used in the movie, especially the grey in the final fight scene,….what is it? Can’t find anything in the credits.

Goliath, the black horse, was a Friesian.

The real horse was named Othello, and he was a stallion. He is deceased now.

Incidentally, the black horse that Brom, and later Murtagh, rides in Eragon is also a Friesian.

Here is some more info: http://www.ultimatehorsesite.com/breedso fhorses/friesianhorse.html

The grey is an Andalusian. Andalusians have also been featured in lots of other movies, like Van Helsing, First Knight, The Brothers Grimm, and Braveheart.

The Mortal Engines series by Philip Reeve has a great storyline, an an awesome world! It’s science fiction, but not the type with aliens and spaceships. It takes place in the future, where cities moves on giant tracks and take over other cities to survive.

The first book introduces Tom, who is a kind, lower-class city boy. He is pushed off of his city (London) by the man he considers his hero.
He has to travel with this mean, bitter, and ruthless non-city girl to catch up with London.

It’s a very well written series. All of the books, in order:
Mortal Engines
Predator’s Gold
Infernal Devices
A Darkling Plain

OMG! Looking at the link, I just discovered that he wrote a prequel to the series! Thank you for asking this question! :D

Drop Dead Gorgeous
Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

IMDB rating: 6.20

Plot: In a small Minnesota town, the annual beauty pageant is being covered by a TV crew. Former winner Gladys Leeman wants to make sure her daughter follows in her footsteps. Explosions, falling lights, and trailer fires prove that. As the Leemans are the richest family in town the police are pretty relaxed about it all. Despite everything, main rival (but nice) Amber Atkins won’t be stopped. There could well be more death and disappointment to come.

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Directors: Jann Michael Patrick

Actors: McMurray Sam,Comedy

Do you have to be drop dead gorgeous to be a model?
My passion is modeling but I don’t think I’ll ever meet their expectations. I’m not even close to being gorgeous!

i know, my passion is modeling too! dont worry, some models arent close to gorgeous, and others are downright hideous! (not to be insulting you or anything)
agents look for criteria in a model:
1.) does she have the ideal bone structure?
wide shoulders are preffered
2.) does she have the right facial structure?
faces have to be near-symmetrical (i.e. if one eye droops, not a big chance she’ll make it), wide-set eyes are preferred, high cheekbones, pouty lips, perfect tall nose (for sunglasses ads), even skin (dont worry; there’s something called photoshop for all that stuff)
3.) does she meet the height/weight requirements?
agents look for a girl who is super-skinny(unless she’s plus-size)
4.) does the model work well in front of the camera?
many drop-dead gorgeous wannabe models arent successful, mainly because they arent skilled at posing.
5.) and finally, the it factor.
it determines if you get picked or not. the agent looks for a calm confidence radiating from you that unfortunately, no amount of money could buy. go to wikihow.com, search up: how to have presence, and practice it. presence is the same as an it factor.

remember, your look has to be unique. an agency doesnt want 100 girls that look the same.

if you have any more questions, email me.
(click on my avatar, go to email cali girl, and type in your question. voila! lol)

cali girl | Jan 06, 2008

Nope. You just need to be the right height and weight and have potential to look good.

PTK | Jan 06, 2008

no, of course not! Lots of models are very unique and look different and quirkky.. .
You don’t have to be blond hair blue eyes to be a model

It’s all about the DREAM. If you know how to pose right and have tons and tons of confidence you’ll convince ANYBODY that you have what it takes.
